Stephen got the RV and we have officially hit the road in the Pouch! Heading to the Land of McKlail to make final preparations for our meandering across the southern US. At this writing, driving through a fairly thick fog, contemplating whether or not to stop in Reno to avoid crossing Donner Pass in the night and it's supposed to snow as well...
But our spirits are high and we're excited about our forthcoming adventure. I've already gotten some spectacular video footage of the icy winter landsc… Continue

No, I'm not DJ'ing... I'm the stage manager for the second stage :)
But talk about a sweet gig! We're hitting 38 cities in 49 days. We all just flew into Philly where we are rehearsing the stage set for the next 2 days, then the opening show of the tour is on the 19th, then we're off!
Many of you are probably not aware of career as a professional stagehand/stage manager/ audio video tech. It's been the natural supplemental income for me all of my entertainment career.
It's late and we have a… Continue
Hi gang. I'm writing my second hiphop mashup album right now, and I put up the first half of it up here in fader freekz, because I would like opinions on it. Am I doing something cool, or is it just noise? Is this dance music? Will the kids like it? Am I on the right track, or do I need to be doing something else?
The demo is 37 minutes long and has around 30 songs in it.
I put this up on Fader Freekz on purpose, because you kids actually know music!
I need feedback please :) Thanks.… Continue

Like the DJ vinyl "test pressing" of years past this is the MP3 version. Just curious for some feedback as there are various styles blended into this track. Going for a fresh sound, sprinkled with electro but with a more mainstream, pop appeal. Post me a comment and let me know what you think. The track is still being worked on and has one more iteration before it's considered final.
Note: The track is at the top of the list in my player.
Thanks for your help,

DHS seems to think a large number of Americans could be terrorists simply because of a belief in Constitutional Rights such as the second amendment (which I am a strong supporter of so I guess that puts me on the list). Please pass this document around to all you can.

Wow, really dropped the ball on this whole Top 10 thing... I promise to be more vigilant!
JANUARY 2nd, 2010
1. Anything by Peo DePitte! - Every track I have of his (about 8 so far) is just ILL! Most are slower (130bpm or less), funky tambourine funk with bent and twisted synths.
2. The Wrongstars - "Spotlight" - Hard, dark and funky. It reminds me of that old Masterz of Funk record I used to play
3. The Wrongstars - "Drink Till She's Beautiful" - Same thing… Continue

If you got what it takes and have the vision to make music the way you want, then let nothing stop you.
Pretty much what has kept me inspired to continue composing music. Though my creativity and my incline to music is still developing as an independent musician, I keep my motivation to continue making music the way I want it to be. What else is music other than personal expression? I look forward to sharing everything I create with all who are willing to hear!

I started mixing vinyl in '95 @ the age of 17 and fell in love with the dance music culture from the get-go. I still remember the feeling I got when I saw kidz decked out in sports gear doing windmills on the floor with glowsticks in their shoelaces as this crazy sound is pumpin out the speakers controlled not by drum machines and keyboards, but by two turntables and a mixer. I was sold! Right away I started buying tracks off of labels such as RAMPANT, TRICKED OUT, SWELL, ORBITAL TRANSMISSION, a… Continue
